What To Wear Next

Transitioning to Fall Golf Attire

We feel you sweater weather. Time to layer for cool golf mornings mixed with mild afternoons.

Here are some Fall ’18 layering pieces that caught our attention.

Peter Millar’s Hobart quarter-zip, ($125), from the Crown Sport collection is reversible, striped on one side and solid on the other. It’s moisture-wicking made with four-way stretch interlock fabric and comes in navy or smoke colors.

Holderness & Bourne’s The Robbins vest, ($115), combines the comfort of your favorite sweatshirt with innovative performance fabric for a versatile mid-weight layering piece. A tailored fit and polished chrome zipper add enough style to this vest so it can be worn anywhere. Choose from five colors, and there’s a companion long sleeve version.

Movetes’ The Varsity sweater, ($109), can easily be worn on its own or over another layer. The double stripe accent on one sleeve gives it the varsity look while still being an elegant piece. It comes in navy, pink, poppy red and white.

Dunning’s Performance color block crewneck sweater, ($115), comes with contrasting grey sleeves and collar, or grey heather body and darker sleeves for a modern sportswear look. The sweater is a polyester and wool blend making it breathable, insulating and moisture managing. It also has stretch side panels and cuffs.

Carnoustie Sportswear’s Vardon quarter-zip pullover, ($110), features a brushed cotton diagonal yarn giving it a heathered look that is lightweight, soft and versatile enough to wear for golf and beyond. It comes in six color ways and has a classic fit.

For women, check out the varsity jacket-inspired Betty Knit bomber jacket, ($259). Made from 100 percent premium cotton, it’s ideal to wear to and from the course. Snap button closures add to the elevated preppy look.

Golfino’s mid-layer stretch golf jacket for women, ($289.95), has a fashionable quilted velvet front and rhinestone details framing the full-zip. The elastine fabric gives it lots of stretch and two zip front pockets and a snap collar add versatility as well as flair.

We also found a quarter-zip long sleeve mock neck top, ($88), to layer under a jacket or vest in a solid, stripe and print pattern. It’s lightweight and easy care with a cotton/spandex blend. It’s from the previous season but still fashion relevant.

For men we also picked a convenient full-zip merino blend knitted cardigan, ($179.95), that comes in grey flannel and blue. This is a timeless, classic piece that has modern cotton-merino yarn that is soft, durable, wicks moisture and keeps the body warm.
