Adidas New Go-To Adapt Jacket for A/W '18

As the name implies, Adidas designed this jacket to be so reliable, that it becomes your ‘go-to’ piece for whenever and wherever you might need an extra layer.

“Golfers are used to having apparel that works for two temperature extremes,” said Christine Cowan, global director of apparel. “But there are days when you need to be able to transition, for example, from a cooler morning to a warmer afternoon. We created the Go-To Adapt jacket to be the ideal mid-weight option that provides optimal stretch where you need it as well as enhanced breathability. It’s that perfect piece that takes you through the day, on the course and off.”

The jacket provides a perfect mixture of heating and cooling to keep golfers at a comfortable temperature throughout the day. The upper portion of this lightweight, quarter-zip pullover has breathable material so it can keep you cool, while the bottom midsection is a fleece-lined shell that will keep you warm. The “Go-To” is also water resistant.

Product features include:

  • Front-zip pockets
  • Internal headphone pocket
  • Quarter-zip with stand up collar
  • Articulated elbows for freedom of movement
  • Telescoped fleece cuffs
  • Drop-tail hem for extra coverage
  • Water-resistant fabric with a fleece-lined shell for all-weather comfort
  • Regular fit in sizes S - 2XL
  • MSRP: $90

According to consumer insights, the telescope cuff is a standout feature. When we wear long sleeve outerwear to golf, it’s somewhat instinctual to pull up the sleeves when going to hit a shot. This leads to the cuffs losing shape and becoming annoying.

The “Go-To” Adapt solves this dilemma by constructing the cuffs in a way you can roll up the sleeves to take your swing, then roll back down after and they maintain their shape.

Colorways for men include two-toned navy, black/grey and bright blue. Women’s come in white, green, light blue and black/grey.

Both the men’s and women’s jackets are available now at adidas.com and at select retailers worldwide.
