About The Signature: The Black Course fits naturally into the Naples landscape, which partly explains why it's designated as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary by Audubon International. There is an abundance of pine trees and native foliage. ... The course underwent a seven-month remastering project that was completed in December 2017. Greens, turf and bunkers were renovated. Green surrounds and approaches were reconfigured to create more strategic options. ... While perhaps not as daunting a play as its brethren, the Gold Course, there is much to enjoy on the Black Course. There are six sets of tees, including Family Tees that reduce the course's length to 4,000 yards.
