Episode 11: Club de Golf Rio Lluta

May 28, 2020 03:43 PM

Fair to say, the Club de Golf Rio Lluta in Arica, Chile, is unlike any course in the world as the latest episode of the Where To Golf Next video travel series will attest. The highly unique layout sits in the Atacama Desert and the natural terrain serves the course well. There is no grass, not even on the greens, which consist of an oil and sand mix. White lines serve as the fairway boundaries, and colored rocks represent hazards. The roughly 40-year-old course, which is 6,525 yards and par 72, is a sure-fire bucket list play by most any standard.
