When Tadd Fujikawa qualified for the 2006 U.S. Open as an amateur, he was the youngest ever to do so. He was 15.
Fujikawa later turned professional, and his career has featured a number of highs and lows. Off the course, in 2018, Fujikawa came out as gay and has become a strong voice in the LGBTQ+ community, supporting impactful organizations such as the Trevor Project, Human Rights Campaign / LGBTQ Youth Group, and The Get Real Movement.
On the final episode of Modgolf Podcast's Season 8, Fujikawa, now 30, joins host Colin Weston to talk about Fujikawa's personal journey of courage, love and authenticity.
"The journey I’ve been on since coming out has been very good," Fujikawa said. "My golf game isn’t quite where I want it to be, but I can say that I’ve never been happier, and my mental health has never been better.”
