Ardglass gets nod over Royal Portrush, Portstewart

Where to Golf Next reader submission

My favorite course that I played this year is in Northern Ireland, a cliffside links course called Ardglass Golf Club (located in County Down). I was there on a beautiful, sunny day — not always the case across the pond where weather can be much more finicky. The views off the cliffs are absolutely stunning, making it difficult to focus on the golf sometimes. I think it has, by far, some of the most beautiful views in golf, and there are some interesting chasms to carry. Wind can be a factor being right beside the ocean. The Isle of Man is just 25 miles off of the coast and can be seen on a nice, sunny day.

We were on a golfing trip and played several of the top courses in Northern Ireland (Royal Portrush Golf Club, Portstewart Golf Club, etc.), but Ardglass is my favorite.
