2021 PGA Championship best bets: Power players, sleepers and picks to win at Kiawah
It's PGA Championship week, and the guys are looking forward to what should be an exciting tournament at Kiawah Island's Ocean Course. RotoWire's Jeff Erickson and Scott Jenstad enjoy watching carnage on the golf course, and Morning Read's Jeff Ritter says that if the wind is blowing, look out: players could get annihilated.
But when handicapping the field, the hosts say you should start with the power players and de-emphasize putting stats. Jenstad likes Justin Thomas and Collin Morikawa, who as the defending champion seems a bit underpriced. Ritter is playing Bryson DeChambeau and Viktor Hovland among the top-tier group.
Down one tier, Ritter wonders whether this is the week when Tony Finau breaks through. He also thinks Adam Scott is underpriced, even though he hasn't played anywhere since the Masters. From that tier, Jenstad likes Daniel Berger and Will Zalatoris and is fading Matt Fitzpatrick.
Even farther down the board, the hosts agree that Keegan Bradley, at 80-1 odds, is enticing. Jenstad is also high on Charl Schwartzel.
