Position for England’s Danny Willett in the Official World Golf Ranking, an improvement of 27 spots, after he won the European Tour’s BMW PGA Championship. Willett, the 2016 Masters champion, was ranked as high as No. 9 in the world shortly after he won the green jacket. He had fallen to as low as No. 462 before he returned to the winner’s circle at the 2018 DP World Tour Championship in November, his most recent victory before Sunday’s triumph at Wentworth Club in England. Willett’s ascent gives England nine players among the OWGR’s top 50, led by No. 4 Justin Rose. Colombia’s Sebastian Munoz jumped 71 spots, to No. 108, with a victory in the Sanderson Farms Championship, his first triumph on the PGA Tour. He had ended last year at No. 298.
