Number of career matches that U.S. captain Juli Inkster has played in nine editions of the Solheim Cup. She owns a 15-12-7 record, including 1-1-1 as a rookie in 1992. Six of her 12 players will be Solheim Cup rookies in the biennial matches, which begin Friday at Gleneagles Hotel’s PGA Centenary Course in Scotland. Pairings are scheduled to be announced today for Friday’s morning foursomes and afternoon four-balls matches. The U.S. leads the series, 10-5.


Position in the Official World Golf Ranking for Joost Luiten, the highest-ranked Dutch player in the world and the home favorite at the European Tour’s KLM Open. Luiten, 33, a six-time winner on the European Tour, won the KLM Open in 2013 and 2016. Play begins today at The International in Amsterdam, Netherlands (tee times).
