Number of times, in 28 years, that a Swede has won his national tournament on the European Tour. The Scandinavian Invitation, formerly known as the Nordea Masters and the Scandinavian Masters, will begin Thursday at Hills Golf & Sports Club in Gothenburg, Sweden. Joakim Haeggman (1997), Peter Hanson (2008), Richard S. Johnson (2010), Alexander Noren (2011, 2015) and Jesper Parnevik (1995, 1998) have won their national event. Sweden’s most successful golfer, 2016 British Open winner Henrik Stenson, will be looking for his first homeland title (tee times).


Number of the top 20 players in the Rolex Rankings who are entered in the LPGA’s CP Women’s Open, which begins Thursday at Magna Country Club in Aurora, Ontario. Among the entrants will be No. 8 Brooke Henderson, who last year became only the second Canadian since the tournament’s debut in 1973 to win her national championship (tee times).


Number of years that the Albertsons Boise Open will have been played when the Korn Ferry Tour event tees off Thursday at Hillcrest Country Club in Boise, Idaho (tee times). The Boise tournament is one of four original events on what was known in 1990 as the Ben Hogan Tour that are still being played.
