Number of competitors in the three biggest events of the past 20 years at Medinah (Ill.) Country Club – 1999 PGA, 2006 PGA and 2012 Ryder Cup – who are entered in the BMW Championship, which begins Thursday at Medinah’s No. 3 Course (tee times). Tiger Woods, who won the 1999 and 2006 PGAs, will join fellow Americans Jim Furyk and Phil Mickelson at the Chicago-area course. Nineteen other competitors this week played one or more of those events at Medinah. The top 70 from the FedEx Cup season points standings qualified for this week's second playoff event. The top 30 in the standings will advance to next week’s season-ending Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta.


Number of past champions from the five previous editions of the D+D Real Czech Masters who will be playing in the European Tour event that begins Thursday in Prague, Czech Republic. Defending champion Andrea Pavan of Italy will be joined by South Africa’s Haydn Porteous (2017), American Paul Peterson (2016), Belgium’s Thomas Pieters (2015) and Wales’ Jamie Donaldson at Albatross Golf Resort (tee times).


Number of consecutive years that American Dustin Johnson has qualified for the 30-man Tour Championship, the longest active streak on the PGA Tour. Entering this week’s BMW Championship at Medinah (Ill.) Country Club’s No. 3 Course (tee times), Johnson ranked 10th in the FedEx Cup season points standings.
