Reported: That Tiger Woods will compete in a one-day skins-type exhibition with Rory McIlroy, Jason Day and Hideki Matsuyama this fall in Japan. The event will be played Oct. 21 at Accordia Golf Narashino Country Club near Tokyo, ESPN’s Bob Harig reported, citing a source. The format and prize money were not disclosed. The event will be held on the Monday before the Zozo Championship, to be played Oct. 24-27 at Narashino. The Zozo is a new PGA Tour event to which Woods already has committed to play. The Zozo will feature a 78-player, no-cut field with a $9.75 million purse. It will be Woods’ first official fall tournament since the Tour adopted its wraparound schedule in 2013-14. Woods, 43, missed the cut at the recent British Open but climbed to No. 5 in the Official World Golf Ranking after having won the Masters in April. He has made only four starts since winning his 15th major title.
