Number of consecutive rounds on the PGA Tour in which a competitor has shot 62. Mexico’s Roberto Diaz was the latest, shooting 9-under 62 on Thursday to open a two-stroke lead in the John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill. Diaz, 32, a second-year Tour member, is seeking his first victory in his 50th start (scores). At last week’s inaugural 3M Open, 62s were posted by Scott Piercy (first round), Bryson DeChambeau (second round), eventual winner Matthew Wolff (third round) and Lucas Glover (final round).


First-round scores for four co-leaders in the Scottish Open at Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland. American Matt Kuchar joined Italians Nino Bertasio and Edoardo Molinari and France’s Romain Wattel atop the leaderboard in the European Tour’s tuneup for next week’s British Open. From the 156-man field, 118 broke par (scores).


Scores for first-round co-leaders Alena Sharp of Canada and Youngin Chun of South Korea at the LPGA’s Marathon Classic at Highland Meadows Golf Club in Sylvania, Ohio. American Stacy Lewis, a 12-time LPGA winner who was born in nearby Toledo and is seeking her first victory in 22 months, trailed by one at 6-under 65 (scores).


Score for Argentina’s Nelson Ledesma, who rebounded from bogeys on two of his first five holes to post a 7-under score and lead the Korn Ferry Tour’s TPC Colorado Championship at Heron Lakes in Berthoud, Colo. Ledesma is seeking his second victory in as many seasons on the developmental tour. Americans Max Greyserman, Rico Hoey and Will Zalatoris shared second at 67 (scores).
