Bradley, who turns 33 today, is a four-time winner on the PGA Tour who ended a six-year winless streak in September when he won the BMW Championship. Canadian Nick Taylor was among five players tied for second at 64, and countryman Adam Hadwin shot 65. Canadians David Hearn, Mackenzie Hughes and Drew Nesbitt were among a group at 66. No Canadian has won his national open in 65 years, since Pat Fletcher in 1954 (scores).
Percentage increase in rounds played in April, compared with the same month a year ago, according to Golf Datatech’s monthly National Golf Rounds Played Report. Aided by warmer weather across much of the country, golfers played more rounds in many regions of the nation, mainly to the north and east. The monthly surge puts the national number in the black for 2019, with rounds played up 1 percent over the first four months of 2018.
