Number of years since a Canadian has won the Canadian Open, when Pat Fletcher prevailed in the 1954 edition. Adam Hadwin, who is No. 77 in the Official World Golf Ranking, will be the highest-ranked native son when the RBC Canadian Open begins Thursday at Hamilton (Ontario) Golf & Country Club. No. 83 Corey Conners, who earlier this season became the 15th Canadian to win on the PGA Tour when he claimed the Valero Texas Open, also will compete. They are among 25 Canadians entered (tee times).
