Wallace, an Englishman who will turn 29 on Friday, prevailed with a birdie on their second replaying of No. 8, a hole that Wallace had aced on his first time around (scores). Lyle, 61, the 1988 Masters champion, was seeking to tie Padraig Harrington for the most Par 3 Contest victories, at three. No winner of the annual Par 3 Contest has gone on to win the Masters Tournament, which begins at 8:30 a.m. EDT today (tee times).
