Accepted: By Matthew Fitzpatrick, special temporary membership for the rest of the PGA Tour season. Fitzpatrick, at No. 33 in the Official World Golf Ranking, was the highest-ranked player without full-time Tour status. With his runner-up finish at the recent Arnold Palmer Invitational, Fitzpatrick, 24, of England, earned enough non-member FedEx Cup points to acquire the temporary membership for a second consecutive season. As a special temporary member, he is eligible for unlimited sponsor exemptions for the rest of the season.

Disclosed: By Pat Perez, in an interview with Michael Collins on SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio’s “Out of Bounds” show, that he has a torn calf muscle in his left leg and not a torn Achilles tendon, as he initially had feared. Perez, who withdrew from the Players Championship early this week, estimated that he will miss about six weeks of the PGA Tour season.
