Accepted: By Tony Romo, a sponsor’s exemption into the AT&T Byron Nelson, tournament organizers announced. Romo, 38, an amateur, is a member at Dallas’ Trinity Forest Golf Club, the site of the Nelson, to be played May 9-12. He carries a plus-0.4 handicap, according to the GHIN registry. Romo, the former Dallas Cowboys quarterback, withdrew after two rounds of the recent AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am to attend the funeral of his former Cowboys quarterbacks coach, Wade Wilson. His only other PGA Tour appearance occurred at last year’s Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship, in which he shot 77-82 and missed the cut.
