Accepted: By Tim O’Neal, the Charlie Sifford Memorial Exemption into the PGA Tour’s Genesis Open. The tournament will be played Feb. 14-17 at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif. Since 2009, one spot in the field has been awarded to a minority golfer in memory of the late Sifford, a World Golf Hall of Fame member who was denied access to Tour events for most of his career because of restrictive racial policies. O’Neal, 46, is a three-time winner on the Latinoamerica Tour who also has played on the Web.com Tour over the years. He has missed the cut in all six career starts on the PGA Tour.


Announced: By the Latinoamerica Tour, the first half of its 2019 schedule, which begins with the March 27-30 Buenaventura Classic in Rio Hato, Panama. The rest of the schedule will be announced later this year, the tour said. The season’s top five money winners will earn spots on the Web.com Tour for next year.
