The top-seeded players in the Race to the CME Globe who will be paired together in the final group off the first tee at 10:41 a.m. EST Thursday in the first round of the LPGA’s CME Group Championship. No. 1 Ariya Jutanugarn of Thailand, who is the defending champion, will play with No. 2 Minjee Lee of Australia and No. 3 Brooke Henderson of Canada at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Fla. (tee times).


Number of players – European Ryder Cup stars Francesco Molinari and Tommy Fleetwood – with a mathematical shot at winning the European Tour’s Race to Dubai title this week at the season-ending DP World Tour Championship. Molinari, who leads the standings, needs to tie for fifth or better to guarantee the season title and $1.25 million bonus from the $5 million pool that will be divided among the top 10 finishers in the standings. Second-ranked Fleetwood must win the tournament and have Molinari place outside of the top five to win the season title. Play begins Thursday at Jumeirah Golf Estates’ Earth Course in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (tee times).


Number of tournaments in the PGA Tour’s 2018-19 wraparound season fall schedule, which concludes with this week’s RSM Classic at Sea Island Resort’s Seaside Course on St. Simons Island, Ga. (tee times). After this week, the Tour will take a break (excluding the unofficial Hero World Challenge, an 18-man event on Nov. 29-Dec. 2 in the Bahamas) until the Jan. 3-6 Sentry Tournament of Champions in Kapalua, Hawaii.
