Length, in feet and inches, of the eagle putt that American Tiger Woods made on the 18th hole for a share of the lead in the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. Woods, who bogeyed the first hole, shot 5-under 65 to set the pace with countryman Rickie Fowler in the final event of the PGA Tour’s 2017-18 season. American Gary Woodland and England’s Justin Rose stood third at 66 in the 30-man field. Woods, 42, who returned to golf this year after a fourth back surgery, is seeking his first victory in more than five years (scores).


Score for England’s Chris Paisley, whose 10-under total leads the Tour Championship at Atlantic Beach (Fla.) Country Club. Paisley, 32, a former University of Tennessee college player, has competed mostly in Europe since turning pro in 2009. Earlier this year, he won the BMW SA Open in South Africa. Canadian Ben Silverman and American Cameron Tringale were tied for second at 63 in the developmental tour’s season finale (scores).


First-round score, which equaled his career low on the European Tour, for Australian Lucas Herbert as he took the lead in the Portugal Masters at Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course in Vilamoura, Portugal. Englishman Matt Wallace and Eddie Pepperell shared second place with Ireland’s Shane Lowry at 7-under 64 (scores).
