American Tony Finau tied for 10th at the Masters, placed fifth at the U.S. Open and finished T-9 at the British Open. Finau, 28, will be making his fourth career start in the PGA Championship, which begins Thursday at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis (tee times).

Number of Zach Johnsons entered in this week’s PGA Championship at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis. One Zach Johnson, 42, is a two-time major championship who has amassed $44.3 million in career earnings on the PGA Tour. The other Zach Johnson, 35, of Farmington, Utah, is an assistant professional at Davis Park Golf Course in Fruit Heights, Utah, who qualified for his first major championship via a top-20 finish in the recent PGA Professional Championship. He will be listed as Zach J. Johnson, to help avoid confusion with the better-known Zach Johnson (tee times).

Number of major champions from 2018 who will be paired in the first round of the PGA Championship on Thursday at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis. Patrick Reed (Masters), Brooks Koepka (U.S. Open) and Francesco Molinari (British Open) will play in the 1:15 p.m. CDT group (tee times).

Number of combined PGA Championships for the only three competitors from the 1992 PGA at Bellerive who are entered in this year’s PGA. Davis Love III, who won the 1997 PGA title, tied for 33rd in 1992; Vijay Singh, who won the 1998 and 2004 PGAs, tied for 48th in 1992; and John Daly, the 1991 PGA winner, placed 82nd in 1992.
