Seeding for the South Korean team that will play host to the UL International Crown. Based on the Rolex Rankings, No. 1 Inbee Park, No. 2 Sung Hyun Park, No. 4 So Yeon Ryu and No. 7 In-Kyung Kim rate as heavy favorites for the biennial eight-nation matches to be played Oct. 4-7 at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea in Incheon City. The American team of Lexi Thompson, Jessica Korda, Cristie Kerr and Michelle Wie will be seeded second. The other teams, in order of seeding: Japan, England, Australia, Thailand, Sweden and Taiwan.

Odds for favorite Dustin Johnson of the U.S. to win the British Open, according to Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook. Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy was the No. 2 choice, at 14-1. Americans Rickie Fowler and Jordan Spieth and England’s Justin Rose were 16-1 picks. Oddsmakers gave Tiger Woods a 25-1 shot to end his five-year winless streak. The British Open will be played July 19-22 at Carnoustie (Scotland) Golf Links.

Position in the Official World Golf Ranking for Julian Suri, a jump of 22 places, after his runner-up finish in the HNA French Open. It might be small consolation for Suri, 27, an American who made double bogey on the final hole and lost by one stroke to Alex Noren, who improved two spots in the OWGR, to 14th. It is Suri’s best world ranking since he was 62nd late last year after four top-10 results in a five-tournament stretch on the European Tour.
