Number of career LPGA victories for So Yeon Ryu, who won the Meijer LPGA Classic. Ryu, 27, of South Korea, shot 5-under 67 for a 21-under total and two-stroke victory at Blythefield Country Club in Grand Rapids, Mich. Germany’s Caroline Masson (68), who rattled home a 70-foot birdie putt on the final hole, placed second at 19-under 269. New Zealand’s Lydia Ko (67) finished third, another stroke back. Ryu is the fifth South Korean to win on the LPGA this season (scores).

Number of golfers to repeat as U.S. Open champions, an elite group that Brooks Koepka joined with his victory Sunday in the 118th U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills in Southampton, N.Y. The others: Willie Anderson (1903-05), John McDermott (1911-12), Bobby Jones (1929-30), Ralph Guldahl (1937-38), Ben Hogan (1950-51) and Curtis Strange (1988-89).
