Accepted: An invitation to the PGA Tour’s Barbasol Championship, Brittany Lincicome, an eight-time winner on the LPGA. The tournament will be played July 19-22, opposite the British Open and during an off week for the LPGA, at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Ky. Lincicome is sponsored by Pure Silk, a brand that is owned by Perio, which also owns the shaving brand Barbasol. She ranks sixth on the LPGA in driving distance, at 272 yards. That distance would rank 206th on the PGA Tour. Lincicome, 32, is married to Dewald Gouws, a long-drive competitor. Lincicome would join such female players as Annika Sorenstam, Suzy Whaley, Michelle Wie and Babe Zaharias in competing at the top level of the men’s game.
