Number of the top-5 hardest holes on the Tour from last season that competitors in this week’s United Leasing and Finance Championship will face at Victoria National Golf Club in Newburgh, Ind. Hole Nos. 14, 17 and 18 ranked third, fourth and fifth, respectively, in relation to par on the developmental tour last season. No. 14 played to a 4.555 stroke average, followed by No. 17 (4.432) and No. 18 (4.429). Play begins today (tee times).


Number of reigning major champions who will be playing at the PGA Tour’s Zurich Classic of New Orleans, which begins today at TPC Louisiana in Avondale, La. Brooks Koepka (U.S. Open), Jordan Spieth (British Open), Justin Thomas (PGA) and Patrick Reed (Masters) are entered in the two-man team event. The format: first and third rounds, four-balls (better ball); second and fourth rounds, foursomes (alternate shot). Both members of the winning team will earn an official PGA Tour victory, two-year exemptions and spots in the Players and PGA championships. However, no Official World Golf Ranking points will be awarded, and the winners will not be given exemptions into next year’s Masters (tee times).


Number of LPGA victories for lifelong Northern California resident Juli Inkster, who will be playing in the LPGA Mediheal Championship beginning today at Lake Merced Golf Club in Daly City, Calif. The women’s tour is wrapping up a six-event West Coast Swing, including the fourth tournament in California. Inkster, 57, a World Golf Hall of Fame member, was born in Santa Cruz, played college golf at San Jose State and lives in Los Altos, about 30 miles from Lake Merced (tee times).
