Odds, according to Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook, for Masters champion Patrick Reed to win the U.S. Open in June at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, N.Y. Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy were listed as the co-favorites, at 10-1. Justin Thomas was a 12-1 pick, followed by Jason Day (14-1), Rickie Fowler (16-1), Jon Rahm (16-1) and Justin Rose (20-1). Tiger Woods was a 25-1 choice.


Percentage of respondents who answered “Jordan Spieth” to a Morning Read social-media poll that asked, “Who is the way-too-early favorite to win the U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in June?” Rickie Fowler generated 22 percent of the responses, followed by “other” at 19 percent and Patrick Reed at 15 percent.
