Extended: Invitations to next week’s Masters, based on their respective positions among the top 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking as of Monday, to No. 44 Cameron Smith of Australia, No. 46 Satoshi Kodaira of Japan, No. 47 Dylan Frittelli of South Africa and No. 48 Chez Reavie of the U.S. One potential spot remains for the April 5-8 Masters: the winner of this week’s Houston Open, provided that he is not already eligible.

Announced: By the PGA of America, that the Ryder Cup will return to Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minn., for 2028. Hazeltine was the site of the Americans’ 17-11 victory against the Europeans in the 2016 edition of the biennial matches. Hazeltine will become the first U.S. course to host multiple Ryder Cups. This year’s Ryder Cup will be played at Le Golf National in Guyancourt, France.
