Number of consecutive times that Miguel Angel Jimenez has won the Champions Tour’s Rapiscan Systems Classic, which begins Friday in Biloxi, Miss. If Jimenez were to defend his title successfully, it would be the ninth time that a player has won at least three consecutive times on the 50-and-older tour (tee times).


Percentage of respondents who answered “Fit him for the jacket” to a Morning Read social-media poll that asked, “After Rory McIlroy won the Arnold Palmer Invitational, how likely do you think he will be to win the Masters next month and complete the career Grand Slam?” The other responses: “He’s got a good chance” (59 percent), “Probably won’t happen” (28 percent) and “Not a chance” (7 percent).


Seeding of Bernd Wiesberger, who defeated No. 1 Dustin Johnson, 3 and 1, on the first day of pool play Wednesday in the WGC Dell Technologies Match Play at Austin (Texas) Country Club. Wiesberger, of Austria, made only two birdies against four bogeys, but it proved to be plenty good enough to win. Johnson, the defending champion, stumbled through three bogeys, two double bogeys and a quadruple-bogey 9 to go a cumulative 9 over through 17 holes. Pool play continues through Friday, with the 16 pool winners advancing to weekend elimination play (Day 1 match recaps).
