Overnight rating in metered markets for the NBC telecast of Sunday’s final round of the Valspar Championship, in which Tiger Woods contended and eventually finished co-runner-up to Paul Casey, according to the network. It was the highest-rated non-major PGA Tour broadcast since the 2013 Players Championship, which Woods won, drew a 5.7 rating. Sunday’s broadcast also was the highest-rated golf telecast, other than the perennial ratings-leading Masters, since the 2015 PGA Championship scored a 5.14.


Number of times that Tiger Woods has won the Arnold Palmer Invitational, which will be played this week at Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Orlando, Fla. Woods won at Bay Hill in 2000, ’01, ’02, ’03, ’08, ’09, ’12 and, most recently, during his five-victory season in 2013. Woods hasn’t won on the PGA Tour since a seven-stroke victory in the Bridgestone Invitational on Aug. 4, 2013 at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio, for his 79th career title.
