Plenty of questions, not as many answers

Questions pondered while waiting for J.B. Holmes to hit a shot:

Everyone on the PGA Tour knows who the slow players are, especially the players and including the Tour field staff, and it’s an even bet that the commissioner knows. But do you think Holmes and the other culprits care one bit? Do you think Tour officials care two bits?

Although he won the Farmers Insurance Open, does it worry you that Jason Day might be putting his career at risk by playing with a bad back? Shouldn’t he be talking with Tiger Woods about it?

Are Hudson Swafford, Harris English and Patton Kizzire the same guy?

Woods is a 20-1 pick to win the Masters, according to Ladbrokes. So is Hideki Matsuyama. If you were down to your last $100, which one would you bet on? 

Does it bother you that POTUS plays more golf than you do?

If David Duval is Johnny Miller’s heir apparent on NBC, go on and admit it: Won’t you really miss Miller?

Do you think it’s a shock to Jordan Spieth when he doesn’t make every putt? Or has he used up all of his 30-footers?

Wouldn’t it have been a crime if Jon Rahm had become the No. 1 player in the world by winning at Torrey Pines? Isn’t Dustin Johnson still the best player?

Who’s the next great player on the LPGA? Why don’t we know?

Phil Mickelson said that in order to be good on Tour, you have to be either really smart or really dumb. If that’s the case, what’s wrong with Geoff Ogilvy?

Anybody seen Rory Sabbatini? Anybody want to?

Is Patrick Reed in danger of becoming America’s Ian Poulter?

If the Ryder Cup were played now, Europe would have Jon Rahm, Tommy Fleetwood and Alex Noren. Doesn’t that make the Euros pretty formidable already?

Does it annoy you that golf announcers talk about the FedEx Cup standings – in February?

Isn’t it a shame that Paul Azinger and Curtis Strange, as good as they are as TV analysts, work only one significant event a year?
