Aussie shoots 67 to pull 1 stroke ahead of Americans Jessica Korda and Stacy Lewis and Slovenia’s Ana Belac in Virginia
1: Number of strokes by which Australia’s Sarah Kemp led the LPGA’s Pure Silk Championship after 36 holes Friday in Williamsburg, Va. Kemp, searching for her first LPGA victory, shot 4-under 67 at Kingsmill Resort’s River Course for a 6-under 136 total. She birdied two of her last three holes to grab the solo lead. Kemp, 35, won three years ago on the Ladies European Tour, and she is a 12-time winner on her homeland’s Australian Ladies Professional Golf Tour. Americans Jessica Korda (67) and Stacy Lewis (69) were tied for second place with Slovenia’s Ana Belac at 5-under 137.
