COVID ousts 2 more players from PGA Tour event

Tyrrell Hatton and Sepp Straka test positive for coronavirus, bringing to 4 the number of WDs from Valspar Championship

2: Number of additional players who have tested positive for COVID-19 and been forced to withdraw from this week’s Valspar Championship, the PGA Tour announced Tuesday. The withdrawals of Tyrrell Hatton and Sepp Straka brings to four the number of players who have been sidelined with the coronavirus in two days. Hatton, who ranks No. 8 in the world, was replaced in the field by Kiradech Aphibarnrat. Straka was replaced by Nelson Ledesma. Will Gordon and Brice Garnett pulled out on Monday. Play is scheduled to begin Thursday at Innisbrook Resort’s Copperhead Course in Palm Harbor, Fla. For tee times, click here.
