Course west of Honolulu, which played host to the Hawaiian Ladies Open until 2001, will welcome Lotte Championship this week
20: Number of years since the LPGA has played at Kapolei Golf Club on the Hawaii island of Oahu, site of this week’s Lotte Championship. The LPGA played at Kapolei, west of Honolulu and on the southern tier of Hawaii’s most populous island, in 1996-2001 at the Hawaiian Ladies Open. Since its debut in 2012, the Lotte Championship has been played at nearby Ko Olina Golf Club, though the event was canceled in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The LPGA announced in March that the $2 million event would be moving to Kapolei. Canada’s Brooke Henderson won the past two editions and will return this week. The tournament begins Wednesday and is scheduled to conclude Saturday. For tee times, click here.
