South Korean, who will be defending his title this week at Honda Classic, has made 15 cuts in 16 starts this season
15: Number of cuts made, in 16 starts on the PGA Tour during the 2020-21 season, for South Korea’s Sungjae Im, who enters this week’s Honda Classic as the defending champion. Im, who will turn 23 on March 30, shot 6-under 274 last year at PGA National’s Champion Course in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., to record his lone victory on the PGA Tour. In 30 starts since winning last year, Im has missed qualifying for the weekend only five times. He is riding a streak of nine consecutive made cuts, including a T-17 finish last week at the Players Championship, and ranks No. 18 in the world. Im will be paired with Americans Keith Mitchell and Rickie Fowler at 1:04 p.m. EDT Thursday on the No. 1 tee in the first round. The Honda Classic will be the final stop on the four-week Florida Swing (tee times).
