South Korean posts 3-stroke triumph in the Pelican Women’s Championship, becoming the LPGA's 2nd multi-winner of the year
2: Number of times that South Korean Sei Young Kim has won this season on the LPGA, after she posted a three-stroke victory Sunday at the LPGA’s Pelican Women’s Championship in Belleair, Fla. Kim, 27, shot even-par 70 in the final round for a 14-under 266 total and three-stroke victory at Pelican Golf Club. It was her 12th LPGA title, including last month’s Women’s PGA Championship. American Ally McDonald, who won four weeks ago at the LPGA Drive On Championship, finished second at 11-under 269. World No. 1 Jin Young Ko, making her first start of the year in the U.S. after staying close to home on the Korean LPGA during the pandemic, tied for 34th at 3-over 283, with only one round under par for the week. Kim joins American Danielle Kang as the only two-time winners on the LPGA this season (scores).
