4: Number of players who made the cut at last week’s U.S. Open who will be competing this week at the PGA Tour’s Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship in the Dominican Republic. Will Zalatoris, who tied for sixth in the Open at Winged Foot, will join fell Americans Adam Long (T-13) and Charles Howell III (30th) and Belgium’s Thomas Detry (T-49) at Puntacana Resort & Club’s Corales Golf Course on the eastern tip of Hispaniola. The tournament, originally scheduled to be played in March opposite the WGC Match Play, will be held as a standalone event for the first time and award full FedEx Cup points, including 500 to the winner. From the $4 million purse, the winner will receive $720,000. The champion also will get a Masters bid, but not for the rescheduled 2020 edition in November but rather the 2021 event in April (tee times).
