Jim Furyk goes 2-for-2 on Champions Tour

With a birdie on 1st playoff hole, Furyk edges Jerry Kelly to win PURE Insurance Championship at Pebble Beach

4: Score, a birdie, for Jim Furyk on the first playoff hole as he beat Jerry Kelly to win the Champions Tour’s PURE Insurance Championship. Furyk and Kelly had tied at 12-under 204 through 54 holes at Pebble Beach (Calif.) Golf Links before returning to the iconic seaside par-5 18th to settle things. Furyk, who turned 50 in May, has won his first two starts on the Champions Tour. He won the Ally Challenge on Aug. 2. Only two other players have gone 2-0 to start their careers on the senior tour: Arnold Palmer (1980) and Bruce Fleisher (1999). Furyk won 17 times on the PGA Tour, including the 2003 U.S. Open (scores).
