Danish teen rises to No. 63 after winning European Tour’s final event on the U.K. Swing for his 2nd title in the past 9 months
63: Position in the Official World Golf Ranking for Danish teen Rasmus Hojgaard, a career high, after his victory Sunday at the European Tour’s U.K. Championship. He had been ranked 103rd. At the end of 2018, he was No. 2,006. In winning the tour’s U.K. Swing finale at The Belfry in England, Hojgaard, 19, posted his fourth consecutive finish of sixth place or better since the tour resumed play after a four-month suspension because of the global coronavirus pandemic. In December, a then-18-year-old Hojgaard became the third-youngest winner in European Tour history when he prevailed in the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open in his fifth career start.
