Dane birdies last 2 holes to shoot 4-under 67 and open 1-stroke lead at Ladies Scottish Open as she seeks her 1st LPGA victory
67: First-round score for Nicole Broch Larsen, who opened a one-stroke lead Thursday at the Ladies Scottish Open in North Berwick, Scotland. Larsen, 27, of Denmark, birdied the 17th and 18th holes at The Renaissance Club to cap a 4-under round in the event, which is co-sponsored by the LPGA and the Ladies European Tour. Larsen is looking for her first victory on the LPGA and her second on the LET. Americans Amy Olson and Jennifer Song were among five players tied for second at 3-under 68. American Danielle Kang, who is seeking her third consecutive victory after having won the LPGA’s first two tournaments in the restarted season, shot even-par 71 after bogeys on two of her first four holes and was tied for 22nd. Heavy fog in the morning delayed tee times by two hours, and the first round was suspended with 27 competitors yet to complete play (scores).
