Paul Barjon opens 2-stroke lead at Korn Ferry Challenge

Frenchman shoots bogey-free 64 to set pace at TPC Sawgrass’ Dye’s Valley Course in Korn Ferry Tour's season restart

64: First-round score for France’s Paul Barjon, who opened a two-stroke lead Thursday at the Korn Ferry Tour’s Korn Ferry Challenge in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. Barjon played a bogey-free round in posting a 6-under score at TPC Sawgrass’ Dye’s Valley Course. It was the developmental tour’s first start since the season was suspended in March because of the coronavirus pandemic. Barjon, 27, is seeking his first victory on the Korn Ferry Tour in his 27th appearance. In his last start, in early March at the El Bosque Championship, Barjon three-putted the 72nd hole to drop into a playoff, which he lost to David Kocher. Barjon won twice in 12 starts last year en route to the season money title on Canada’s Mackenzie Tour (scores / tee times) .
