Women’s tour to restart with 3 of top 10 in world

3: Number of the top 10 players in the Rolex Rankings who will restart their season this week on the Korean LPGA, the first major women’s professional golf tour to restart its season in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Sung Hyun Park, Sei Young Kim and Jeongeun Lee6, who stand Nos. 3, 6 and 10, respectively, in the world rankings, will play in the KLPGA Championship, which begins Thursday at Lakewood Country Club in Yangju, South Korea. The $2.46 million event, which had been suspended from its original April 30-May 3 dates, will be played without spectators. The LPGA, which has not played since the Women’s Australian Open finished Feb. 16, is scheduled to restart July 15 with the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational at Midland (Mich.) Country Club.
