Qatar Masters shifts to Olazabal-designed course

33: Number of holes at the Education City Golf Club in Doha, Qatar, site of the European Tour’s Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, which begins Thursday. The 2-year-old Championship Course, which will host the 23rd annual event for the first time, is part of a complex designed by two-time Masters champion Jose Maria Olazabal of Spain that also includes a nine-hole course and a six-hole routing. The golf complex sits in the shadow of Education City Stadium, one of the host sites of the 2022 FIFA World Cup soccer tournament. South Africa’s Justin Harding is the defending champion (tee times).
