3: Length, in feet, of the birdie putt that American David Kocher made on the first hole of a sudden-death playoff Sunday to win the Korn Ferry Tour’s El Bosque Mexico Championship. Kocher, France’s Paul Barjon and American Chad Ramey had tied at 12-under 276 through 72 holes at El Bosque Country Club. Kocher, 23, who played college golf at Maryland, began the day five strokes off the lead but birdied four of his first eight holes. He needed to sink a 12-foot par putt on the final hole, the par-5 18th, to shoot 3-under 69 and get into a playoff. Kocher posted his first victory in only his sixth start on the developmental tour (scores).
