England’s Lewis, the reigning Korn Ferry Tour Championship winner, is seeking his 1st victory on the PGA Tour, while America’s English attempts to end a 6½-year winless streak
66: First-round score, 4 under, for England’s Tom Lewis and American Harris English, who shared a one-stroke lead at the PGA Tour’s Honda Classic on Thursday at PGA National Resort’s Champion course in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. Both co-leaders are competing on sponsor exemptions. Harris, 30, is seeking his third PGA Tour victory but his first since late 2013. Lewis, 29, a two-time champion on the European Tour and the winner of the 2019 Korn Ferry Tour Championship, is chasing his first victory on the PGA Tour. Lewis missed cuts in his first four starts on the Tour this season but played bogey-free golf at the Honda. English shook off two bogeys with an eagle at the par-5 third hole and four birdies (scores).
