Alabama alumnus posts 1-stroke triumph in Panama Championship in his 21st career start on the Korn Ferry Tour
70: Length, in feet, of the eagle putt that American Davis Riley made on the back nine Sunday en route to a one-stroke victory in the Panama Championship, his first title on the Korn Ferry Tour. Buoyed by a 3 at the par-5 12th hole, Riley shot 1-under 69 for a 10-under 270 total and one-stroke victory over Mexico’s Roberto Diaz, who closed with a 65, at Panama Golf Club in Panama City. Riley, 23, who turned pro as an Alabama senior after the 2018 fall semester, won in his 21st career start on the Korn Ferry Tour. Brothers Nicholas and Curtis Thompson posted top-10 finishes, with T-7 and T-10, respectively. It was the third of four season-opening overseas tournaments to begin the year for the PGA Tour’s top developmental circuit (scores).
