Aussie champions climb in world order

Marc Leishman improves to No. 20 in Official World Golf Ranking after winning at Torrey Pines, and Lucas Herbert jumps to 79th with victory at Dubai

20: Position in the Official World Golf Ranking for Marc Leishman, who moved up eight spots in the world order on Monday after he won the PGA Tour’s Farmers Insurance Open a day earlier at Torrey Pines in San Diego. Leishman, 36, an Australian and five-time winner on Tour, was ranked as high as 12th in early 2018. Countryman Lucas Herbert surged to No. 79, a jump of 144 spots, after he won the Omega Dubai Desert Classic for his first victory on the European Tour. Herbert, 24, achieved his career high in the world ranking one year earlier, at No. 73, on the strength of a seventh-place finish at Dubai.
