Countryman Lucas Herbert surged to No. 79, a jump of 144 spots, after he won the Omega Dubai Desert Classic for his first victory on the European Tour. Herbert, 24, achieved his career high in the world ranking one year earlier, at No. 73, on the strength of a seventh-place finish at Dubai.
