Tommy Gainey shoots 66 in Korn Ferry Tour season opener
66: First-round score for American Tommy Gainey, who led the Korn Ferry Tour’s season-opening Bahamas Great Exuma Classic at Sandals Emerald Bay before darkness suspended play late Sunday. Gainey, 44, a one-time winner on the PGA Tour known as “Two Gloves” because he wears gloves on both hands, ran off four birdies in a row, on Nos. 8-11, en route to a 6-under score and the early lead at Sandals Emerald Bay Golf Course. Americans Joshua Creel and Dylan Wu shot 67s to share second place. The tournament is the season-opening event on the PGA Tour’s top developmental tour (scores).
