Niemann, 21, of Chile, posted a bogey-free 66 at Kapalua (Hawaii) Resort’s par-73 Plantation Course on Maui island. American Justin Thomas birdied five of his final eight holes to shoot 6-under 67 and stood alone in second place. Americans Rickie Fowler and Matt Kuchar shared third place at 68. Twenty-one of the 34-man field broke par. The winners-only T of C is the 12th event on the Tour’s wraparound 2019-20 schedule .
