Duo shoot 12-under 60 in four-balls to claim PGA Tour exhibition
31: Number of strokes under par that teammates Rory Sabbatini and Kevin Tway combined to shoot to win the QBE Shootout, a PGA Tour team exhibition in Naples, Fla. Sabbatini/Tway shot 12-under 60 in Sunday’s four-ball format, offsetting one bogey with 11 birdies and an eagle, to finish at 31-under 185 for 54 holes at Tiburon Golf Club. Sabbatini, a native South African who changed his citizenship to Slovakia, won in his 10th appearance in the event; Tway was making his first. Americans Jason Kokrak and J.T. Poston closed with a 62 to finish at 29-under 187. The unofficial Tour event opened with a scramble in Friday’s first round and played modified alternate shot in Saturday’s second round before the four-balls format in Sunday’s finale (scores) .
